John W. May Jefferson, Iowa Date of Death: July 29, 2019 A Celebration of Life for John W. May, 95, of Jefferson will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2019 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Parish Center, 501 North Locust Street, Jefferson, IA. Memorials in John’s name may be directed to the Greene County Christian Action Resource Center (Food Pantry – Jefferson) or the Jefferson Public Library. At the family’s request, please do not bring food, flowers, or plants, etc. to the house. Why did Dad select this particular photo of himself? Because in the photo, Dad liked his hair. Plus he could see and hear clearly. Back then, there were zero health issues with no pain or discomfort from walking and standing, or struggling to get up from a chair. He could drive anything and everything he wanted, when he wanted. He also believes he may have had a little money in his pocket. John and Rose were in the process of moving to the north side of Ames, IA into an assisted living facility. Rose will be moving there soon. Survivors include his wife, Rose May of Jefferson, IA; sons: Lee May of Florida and Lloyd May of Las Vegas, NV.
