Kathryn Redfern

Kathryn Ann White Redfern, daughter of Foster and Leone Miller White, was born on March 19, 1937 in Jefferson, Iowa. She attended school in Jefferson, graduating from Jefferson High School in 1955. Kathryn married John Redfern on June 29, 1956 at the Central Christian Church in Jefferson. They were the parents of two daughters, Lori and Lisa. Kathryn enjoyed her job as a bank teller in the communities of Jefferson, Perry and Cedar Rapids. She loved playing cards, the Chicago Cubs and going to the casinos. Kathryn A. Redfern passed away on May 17th, 2007 at her home in Jefferson. She was 70 years of age. Preceding her in death were her parents and sister-in-law, Jeanette White. Survivors include her husband, John Redfern of Jefferson; her 2 daughters, Lori Redfern of Perry and Lisa Redfern of Cedar Rapids; one brother, Jerry White and wife, Lorraine, of Shoreview, MN. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Roth and husband, Joe and Linda Redfern; brothers-in-law, Jim Redfern and wife, Diane; David Redfern and wife, Linda; Tom Redfern and his wife, Cindy; several nieces, nephews and friends. Memorials are suggested to the Central Christian Church or Greene County EMS.
