Myles Kiner

March 1, 1994 - March 22, 2018

Myles Scott Kiner March 1st, 1994-March 22, 2018 Myles Kiner, age 24, of Lake City, Iowa walked into the loving arms of his lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, March 22, 2018. Myles was born at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa to Tammy and Scott Kiner of Grand Junction, Iowa on March 1, 1994. At age 6, Myles began his journey at Faith, Hope and Charity in Storm Lake, Iowa to expand and venture friendship, education, love and family. During his time at Faith, Hope and Charity, Myles attended and graduated from Storm Lake Public Schools. At age 18, Myles moved to Opportunity Living and resided in House A, where he began the life of a “man of leisure”. Myles was full of lots of belly laughs, smiles, love and affection. Myles enjoyed long wagon rides, warm sunshine, swinging the day away and was always up for a good ol’ fashion foot rub. Myles enjoyed all aspects of wildlife/outdoors, at least by watching it on Animal Planet and endless hours of Steve Irwin. Myles was always intrigued by anything that was motorized with wheels, he would ride all day and all night if he could. On March 18, 2018, Myles was admitted to Stewart Memorial Hospital with Pneumonia. After three gruesome days of battling, the family could see that Myles was tired and that he was ready for peace and comfort. March 21, 2018, Myles was moved to Hospice Care where he was kept comfortable surrounded by loved ones until 11:15 am on March 22, 2018 when God opened up his arms and took him home putting his body at rest. Myles is survived by his parents Scott and Tammy Kiner of Grand Junction; sister Mae (Birt) Davis of Jefferson; sister Heidi (Michael) Bills of Jefferson, brother Kyler (Sierra) Kiner of Ogden; nephews Landyn and Haidyn; grandmother Ardis Kiner of Grand Junction; grandparents Gordon and Kathy Kruse of Denver, Colorado; many Aunts and Uncles, and too many cousins to count. Myles is preceded in death by grandfather Paul W. Kiner of Grand Junction and grandmother Linda Randall of Lincoln, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Faith, Hope and Charity in Storm Lake, Iowa and Opportunity Living in Lake City, Iowa. Funeral services will be held 10:30am Monday, March 26, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, Grand Junction, IA. Interment will be in the Junction Township Cemetery, Grand Junction, IA. The family will greet friends from 4:00 – 6:00pm Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home, Jefferson, IA.
